I direct and develop new work, as well as fresh adaptations of classic stories.
I’m passionate about theatre that explores significant political issues through the lens of personal relationships and family dynamics. Growing up in rural Scotland, I’ve always been intrigued by the tension between the countryside and the city, which often influences my work.
I’m fascinated by the integration of music into theatre and frequently collaborate with actor-musicians to incorporate it into my productions. Music can enhance the emotional tone of a scene or create contrast that challenges the audience’s expectations, offering a fresh perspective or even shifting the mood entirely.
I trained on the MA Directing programme at Rose Bruford College, graduating with distinction in 2023. From January to June 2024, I returned to Rose Bruford as a lecturer in Acting and Assistant Head of the BA Acting programme at Rose Bruford South West (formerly ALRA South). Now, I’m seeking new directing and assistant directing opportunities, as well as roles as a visiting director or tutor in drama schools.
I’m currently developing an adaptation of Joanna Baillie’s 18th-century classic play Count Basil. More information on this project will be available soon!
From January to June 2024, I was invited back to Rose Bruford College to work as a Lecturer in Acting and as the Assistant Head of the BA (Hons) Acting programme at Rose Bruford South West (formerly ALRA South).
In addition to my teaching responsibilities, I collaborated closely with the core faculty to ensure the smooth running of the programme. I led year meetings, provided pastoral support for students, and mentored them through their dissertation projects.
I also took on the role of Cover Director in the absence of visiting directors, supported students during their industry showcase, and Assistant Directed final year productions.
